Nuremberg // Germany

This is my last Euro-trip post as Nuremberg was our final and favorite stop on our 2 week vacation. This was the 4th time I had been to Germany and the 4th time to Nuremberg as well. 16 years ago we rang in the Millennium at the castle so it was really special to be able to go back and visit!

The food was amazing- beer and bratwurst for nearly every meal- and I loved walking around the fresh markets, the main shopping district, the castle gardens and buying cookies at the homemade gingerbread kiosk! I also really enjoyed wandering through the bookstore (I went twice!) and purchased several comic books and lower-level reading books (think Diary of a Wimpy Kid in German). I am able to read the language and understand a good portion of it, but find when words and pictures are together, it has so much more meaning. Also, it’s so fun to be able to understand humor in another language!

We’ve been vacationing with these family friends for over 20 years now!

We visited the Tiergarten (zoo) one day too!

Nadia and I (and my sisters) have a photo in this exact spot taken 16 years ago!

An unexpected double exposure of the castle sign and the walkway. I kind really like it <3

Castle gardens!
